I have some news, a few bits of it.
Last week I found out I have grey matter loss from Covid-19 in November 2020. This means Covid-19 inflicted brain damage, and the brain, once it loses cells, does not regrow them.
“The findings do conform to predictable results of brain changes from COVID-19 infection,” my doctor wrote through my health portal. “Your cortical grey matter is in the 10th percentile for your age.”
My “Three-Dimensional Voxel-based Morphometry” MRI showed this. It’s the one I wrote about in the my last Substack post. This MRI looks into the frontal lobes of the brain, measuring things like cortical grey matter, the hippocampus and thalamus.
